Position Summary:
The Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for guests, tenants, and employees. This role involves monitoring property, responding to incidents, enforcing policies, and providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patrol the premises, including common areas, parking lots, and entrances, to deter and detect security risks.
- Monitor security cameras and alarm systems for suspicious activity.
- Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, and medical situations, following established procedures.
- Enforce policies, rules, and regulations in a professional and courteous manner.
- Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency personnel as needed.
- Document all incidents, observations, and actions in detailed reports.
- Assist tenants, guests, and staff with security-related concerns or inquiries.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential safety hazards.
- Participate in security training, drills, and ongoing professional development.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional security or law enforcement training preferred.
- Strong observation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
- Basic computer skills for reporting and communication purposes.
- Physical ability to walk, stand, and respond quickly in emergency situations.
Work Schedule:
- Full-time or part-time positions; may include nights, weekends, and holidays depending on hours.
