As a Security Officer Patrol Specialist in Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in an educational location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication to students, staff, and visitors. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at an educational location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observed activity and reporting concerns to site leadership when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout campus buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations, noting unusual conditions and helping to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, check credentials when required, and assist with visitor management practices in support of site protocols and daily campus operations.
• Support security-related responses to alarms, medical incidents, and/or facility-related concerns, while communicating professionally with campus community members and public responders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Provide proof of high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
