As a Security Officer Patrol Compliance Specialist in Jamaica, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a shelter location, where you will monitor assigned areas, perform routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a shelter location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document observations and security-related activities according to site guidelines.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, common areas, entry points, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor movement throughout the location, assist with visitor and resident inquiries, and communicate professionally with staff, residents, and/or first responders when needed.
• Support daily shelter operations by reporting maintenance concerns, policy violations, and/or behavioral issues to appropriate site contacts while maintaining a professional presence.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
