Security Officer - Patrol Aide

As a Security Officer Patrol Aide in Lombard, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer at a dynamic technology location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access awareness through strong communication and customer service. Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, including entrances, lobbies, office areas, data-related spaces, parking areas, and perimeter locations, helping to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and help to verify that only authorized individuals enter restricted areas, following site protocols for visitor processing, badge checks, and/or after-hours access requests.
• Observe and report maintenance issues, suspicious behavior, and/or policy violations, and support Allied Universal reporting requirements through timely incident notes and shift activity documentation.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
