As a Security Officer Patrol Access Control in Fort Wayne, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic construction location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. Pay Rate: $22.75 / Hour

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at the location.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document details according to site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the property, access points, work areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entry and exit activity, verify authorized access as directed by site policies, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Support site operations by communicating with supervisors, staff, and/or first responders when needed, while maintaining a professional presence in changing indoor and outdoor working conditions.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
