Security Officer, Gate City Casino

The opportunity

Delaware North Gaming is hiring a full-time Security Officer to join our team at Gate City Casino in Nashua, New Hampshire. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe and secure environment for our guests and team members. Schedule:

1. Mondays, Wednesdays, and Sundays: 5:15 pm-1:15 am

Fridays and Saturdays: 6:15 pm-2:15 am

Days Off: Tuesdays and Thursdays

2. 5:15pm-1:15am shift and 6:15pm-2:15am on Fridays/Saturdays

Pay

$20.00 - $24.00 / hour

What will you do?

• Ensure that identification is checked for proper admittance to the gaming floor
• Conduct cash escorts as required
• Observe, handle, and report procedural violations and illegal activity
• Operate a motorized vehicle when necessary
• Maintain crowd control as required
• Defuse guest profanity and handle issues or complaints professionally

More about you

• Must be at least 21 years of age with a high school diploma or GED
• Must be licensed by the State Gaming Commission
• Prior law enforcement, security, or military experience preferred; hospitality or customer service experience is a plus
• Ability to clear a criminal background check
• Strong customer service skills required
• Strong verbal communication, observation, and report writing skills
• Ability to obtain a CPR/First Aid/AED/BBP certification

Physical requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
• Ability to communicate through a two-way radio
• Bending, stooping, lifting, and carrying occasionally
• Vision sufficient to perform duties day or night
• Exposure to an occasionally smoky and loud environment
• Exposure to large groups and bright/flashing lights
