As a Security Officer Experienced Unarmed Patrol in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns through established channels.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
- Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization as directed by location policies, and assist with access control procedures.
- Support site operations by communicating with supervisors, personnel, and/or local responders during routine activities and critical situations, while maintaining professionalism throughout the shift.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
