JOB SUMMARY
Under the supervision of the Security Captain, the employee provides protection of work sites, personnel and assets from events such as assault, theft, vandalism, harassment, and other disruptive incidents.
Schedule: Rotational (2 weeks on / two weeks off)
This position is based in Anchorage, AK
Transportation & Housing not provided - Candidate must reside in the Anchorage Area.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of two (2) years of law enforcement background OR equivalent of four (4) years private security service background OR equivalent military service in related security fields
State of Alaska Security Guard license (or able to obtain)
Valid driver's license
Able to proficiently speak, read, understand and write English.
Reliable access to a smartphone capable of running apps for scheduling, timekeeping (clocking in/out), shift communications, and time-off requests.
Must be able to pass the Company's pre-employment screening process, including drug screen, criminal background investigation and post-offer physical/functional capacity evaluation.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Enforce client policies and procedures
Provide protection of work sites, personnel and assets from such events such as assault, theft, vandalism, harassment and other disruptive incidents
Control access of personnel, materials and equipment to and within the work sites.
Perform security patrols of the work sites
Respond to general alarms, power outages, broken water/power lines and security breaches of any kind
Utilize Microsoft Office and other commonly used computer programs
Maintain radio/telephone communications
Willingness to perform other duties as required
Willingness to work at various locations as required
