What You'll Do
Security Officer is responsible for the day to day activities of ensuring a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors and staff. Security Officers work as a member of a unified team that provides a safe and secure environment by working collaboratively with all sites, departments, and agencies.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Creates a positive environment with quality customer service
- Responds to Emergency Codes
- Assists with Emergency Code Drills
- Uses security technology to control access and monitor the facility
- Screens visitors, patients and patient belongings
- Conducts patrols and escorts visitors and staff
- Investigates incidents and completes appropriate reports and documentation in a timely manner.
- Performs other various duties as assigned or requested
What Makes You a Great Fit
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required. Associates or Bachelors in a safety or security related field preferred.
- Minimum of 1-year experience in security, law enforcement, military or related field
- Preferred knowledge of Joint Commission Environment of Care standards and quality of care
- Great Customer Service Skills
- Trustworthy and Honest
- Ability to use sound judgment and decision-making skills in crisis situations and implementing emergency response procedures
- Ability to maintain self-control in volatile or hostile situations
- Ability to make effective decisions while in stressful situations and circumstances
- Able to work alone and with minimal supervision
Additional Details
Pay is $20 - $28 an hour based on experience. 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. or 11:00 p.m. - 7:30 a.m. with every other weekend
