As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Agent in Jacksonville, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to visitors, passengers, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site contacts and/or local authorities as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, administrative buildings, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Serve in an armed post in accordance with Allied Universal policies and post orders, maintaining professional presence and handling security-related duties with sound judgment and attention to site protocols.
  • Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials when required, and assist with directing the public, contractors, and employees in accordance with location rules and government-related procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • An armed guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
