As a Airport Security Officer Full Time Patrol Unit in Honolulu, HI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic government transportation location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support travelers and staff with outstanding customer service and communication. In this people-first role, you will bring reliability, integrity, and teamwork to each shift while helping create a welcoming environment.
Position Type: Full Time, Swing Shift
Pay Rate: $19.23 / Hour with an hourly bonus of $4.30. Premium paid shall be based on the position actually worked by the employee.
Ability to use computers - basic computer knowledge
Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and physical exam
What You'll Do:
Provide customer service to visitors, travelers, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with supervisors, public agency personnel, and/or first responders as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout terminals, public areas, restricted access points, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report security-related concerns.
Monitor entry and exit activity, check credentials and/or access authorizations where required, and report suspicious behavior, unattended property, or policy violations according to site procedures.
Support daily operations by maintaining a visible presence, documenting incidents and observations, and assisting with directions, questions, and other customer service needs in a professional manner.
Minimum Requirements:
Customer service experience is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
Be at least 20 years of age for unarmed roles; 22+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
