In this role, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, control access, and patrol assigned areas to help promote a secure environment. You will remain visible, respond to security-related concerns, and deliver professional service through clear communication, teamwork, reliability, and integrity.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $14.40 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a government location.
• Monitor entrances, exits, credentials, and/or visitor activity to help support authorized access and report unusual or suspicious activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, including access points, restricted areas, and perimeter areas, as post duties require.
• Assist with screening vehicles, vendors, and/or deliveries entering the location while following established post orders and security-related protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
