Overview:- The Application Perimeter Security lead is a key member of the Enterprise Security Solutions team and is responsible for designing, documenting, implementing and governing Security controls on externally facing applications to meet corporate, legal and regulatory requirements.
- The Client Leader is also responsible for the creation and maintenance of the Cyber Assurance and IT Risk Management program documentation.
- This position requires a strategic thinker with strong technology skills, collaboration abilities, detailed working knowledge of application security best practices, and expertise in implementing information security controls for maintaining compliance for a highly regulated business environment.
Responsibilities:- Work with development teams to customize and tune web application firewall, bot manager and other perimeter security controls as E*TRADE applications are onboarded to Akamai
- Serve as subject matter expert to internal business and technology teams on range of Akamai products during BAU and incident-based activities
- Implement the Information Security policies, standards and controls for internet facing web and mobile applications
- Support status reporting by producing metrics and presentations for governance committee meetings
- Create Splunk dashboards and alerts to monitor deployments and address other use cases
- Identify opportunities to streamline/automate manually intensive processes
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum 7 years- Hands on experience in implementing perimeter security using Akamai products for web and mobile applications
Minimum 3 years- Hands-on experience in creation of dashboards and alerts using tools like Splunk
Minimum 2 years- Experience in designing and architecting modern web applications -Proven experience and success with managing IT and Information Security programs
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Education needed:- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science.
Preferred:- Proven experience with IT and information security best practices
- Demonstrated technical abilities across a broad range of technologies: Windows, Linux, firewalls, routers, mobile devices
- Familiarity with application development languages .NET, Java, JavaScript
- Proven project management and organizational skills, specifically managing multiple, concurrent projects
- Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
- Highly self-motivated and directed professional, with keen attention to detail
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Strong customer service and solution-focused orientation
