As a Security Guard Experienced Patrol Specialist in BRONX, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a government location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout assigned interior and exterior areas, including building access points, lobbies, hallways, and perimeter locations, as conditions vary by site.
- Monitor visitor and employee activity, assist with access control procedures, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or policy violations to help support site operations.
- Support daily operations by communicating with site contacts, following post orders, and completing required reports related to security-related activities and observed incidents.
Minimum Requirements:
- A New York State Security Guard License is required.
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
