The District Security Corporal is responsible for assisting law enforcement and handling Security related matters at District facilities as outlined in the Texas Penal Code, Texas Education Code, Code of Criminal Procedure, District's Board Policy, Management Guidelines, Departmental Rules and Regulations, and as directed by the Security Manager/Director. The District Security Corporal is responsible for working cooperatively with the school administration, students, staff members, other District Security team members, and officers from all law enforcement agencies to maintain positive campus security and a safe and secure campus environment.
Filling in for the Security Dispatcher(s) is required of which you are required to process and prioritize incoming calls for AISD, Security, Fire, EMS, and Security assistance. The Security Dispatcher(s) performs a full range of radio and telephone operational duties in this 365, 24/7 department and is under general supervision, performing work of routine difficulty in the operation of a central alarm station using computers, cameras, and various communications equipment, initiating proper response for emergency and non-emergency situations and relay through security radio and/or phone communication. In some situations, the Security Corporal will serve as a first line supervisor in the absence of other Security Department Supervisors or Administrators.
