Position Overview
The purpose of this position is to process all securities-related contributions and provide excellent customer service, including solving problems for our givers by performing the following duties personally. As a result of the Securities Contributions Specialist I work, we are able to fulfill our charitable purpose as a grant making organization by mobilizing resources and serve NCF givers in a timely manner and with excellent customer service.
Position is based out of NCF’s office in Alpharetta, GA. After training, position may be hybrid with 2-3 days/week in the office.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Processes security contributions – includes monitoring brokerage accounts for incoming securities, ensuring that securities are sold within the next business day, identifying and posting contributions to the correct donor fund, and receipting donors.
- Responds to and researches inquiries from donors, financial advisors, brokers, and staff related to securities contributions and solves any problems or exceptional items in a timely manner.
- Prepares any paperwork necessary for mutual fund transfers, restricted securities, and securities gifted in certificate form.
- Communicates with brokerage firms and transfer agents to obtain status of security transfers.

- Assists in testing system functionality during upgrades and implementations
- May be directed by the Contributions Manager to carry out special projects
- Seeks opportunities to improve processes and systems to make contributions processing more efficient.
- Participate in team meetings to report departmental information and to work with other team members to solve problems.
- Knowledgeable of the Cash Contribution Specialist duties so can act as back-up as needed.
- Work closely with Accounting department to reconcile any discrepancies.

Education

Experience
- A minimum of two to three years’ of securities related experience is required
- A minimum of two to three years’ experience in a customer service oriented environment
- Previous experience in monitoring brokerage accounts for incoming securities and selling securities is preferred
