Hocking Valley Community Hospital (HVCH) is currently seeking aSecretaryto join our friendly, hard-working patient-centered team for the following shifts:

  • Part Time, 1st Shift, Flexible Schedule

HVCH is a 25 bed critical access hospital (CAH) with over 325 employees who serve the residents and visitors of Logan, Ohio through various ancillary and 24-hour emergency care services. REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • At least 1 year of experience in clerical and office setting.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) and other office management software.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records, files, and correspondence in a timely manner.
  • Experience preparing reports, meeting materials, and departmental documentation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with employees, vendors, and management.
  • Ability to coordinate meetings, schedules, and departmental activities efficiently.
  • Prepare, record, and distribute meeting minutes, ensuring accurate documentation of discussions, decisions, and action items.
  • Experience handling work orders, tracking maintenance requests, and monitoring completion status preferred.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry, reporting, and document preparation.
  • Ability to exercise tact, professionalism, and confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information and personnel matters.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as the primary administrative support for both IT and Facilities teams
  • Track, log, and route IT helpdesk tickets and facilities work orders
  • Coordinate scheduling for system maintenance, equipment repairs, and vendor services
  • Schedule, records and maintains minutes of department employee meetings as well as for EOC, Safety, and DNV meetings
  • Works closely with Director, CNO, Risk Manager, and others for all DNV and ISO compliance
  • Assist with audits by providing documentation for IT systems and facility compliance
  • Keeps updated procedures manuals, department, safety, and life safety manuals
  • Assist in creating and maintaining policies and procedures for Plant Ops and Information Services, reviewing on an annual basis for updates
  • Maintain accurate records of IT assets and facility equipment
  • Manage inventory of office supplies, IT equipment, and facility materials
  • Support procurement processes, including purchase orders, invoices, and vendor communication
  • Organize and maintain documentation such as contracts, warranties, service agreements, and compliance records
  • Prepare reports and spreadsheets for asset tracking, maintenance schedules, and budget monitoring
  • Ensure timely communication between employees, IT support, and facilities staff
  • Flexibility to undertake a variety of assignments
  • Carries out additional tasks as assigned
