SUMMARY:
Hudson Public Schools is seeking a Secondary Coordinators of Sepcial Ed Evaluation.
This position is accountable for ensuring compliance standards are met for state and federal regulations that governs the rights of a student with a disability, to ensure Free Appropriate Public Education [FAPE]. Responsibilities include the scheduling and facilitation of TEAM members to review, and present comprehensive assessments necessary to determine eligibility which impacts the development of the student's Individualized Educational Program (IEP). Through the TEAM meeting process critical accountability measures must ensure that a student with a disability has access, as well as receives specialized instruction services in the Least Restrictive Environment (LRE). The Team Chairperson represents the district as the designee is appointed to commit district resources, while overseeing adherence to special education federal and state regulations which also includes compliance related matters.

WORK YEAR:
10 month, 200 day position
4 personal days, 17 sick days

This is a salaried position distributed over 26 paychecks including a lump sum in June to cover summer pay
Salary Range: up to $105,000

While performing duties of this job, the employee may often remain in a stationary position for considerable periods of time. The employee will have also have ample periods of standing and may be required to traverse throughout the building. The employee must frequently use hands and frequently operates a computer and other office productivity machinery (i.e., calculator, copy machine, and computer printer). Physical abilities may also include lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling, stooping/crouching, reaching/handling, talking/hearing conversations, and near/far visual acuity/depth perception/color vision/field. Ability must be able to lift and/or push and pull 15 to 20lbs for short periods, and walk up and down stairs several times a day. The employee must be able to communicate effectively with students, staff members, and the public in person and on the telephone.
