Number of Beds 19 patient rooms, 6 PACU rooms, 6 triage rooms, 3 L&D ORs
Number of Staff Matrix is 8-10 for night shift
Type of staff:
Day Shift (example 1 charge, 3 RN, 2 CNA, and 1-3 sitters)
Night Shift 1 charge, 7-9 RNs, 1 CST
Patient Ratios 2:1, 1:1 with complicated patients Estimated never guaranteed
Type of equipment - FHR monitors (Novii and Client), FSE (fetal scalp electrodes),
EMR CPN and Meditech
Typical hiring profile
Skill Set Most recruited for: (Travel RNs, local CNAs and sitters)
Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.
Minimum of 1-year current acute care hospital L&D experience
BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN or EFM
Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first.
Mom/Baby, Peds and/or NICU experience
List typical procedures performed on unit(s):
Vaginal deliveries, c-section deliveries,
Delivery of care through nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Responsible for directing and coordinating all nursing care for labor and delivery patients, postpartum patients and high-risk antepartum patients.
