Seasonal Stormwater Laborer Position Summary
The Seasonal Stormwater Laborer provides hands-on support to the Stormwater Department during peak operational months. This position is primarily responsible for vegetation management and maintenance along drainage systems, ditches, rights-of-way, and stormwater infrastructure. The worker also assists with a variety of general labor tasks within the Stormwater Department and may support other departments as needed to ensure safe, efficient, and continuous city operations. Seasonal employees may also be eligible to apply for open full-time positions within the Stormwater Department or other city departments when they become available.

Qualifications
Ability to perform physical labor in outdoor environments, including heat, rain, uneven terrain, and vegetation-heavy areas. Basic knowledge of hand tools and small equipment operations; training provided. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Reliable attendance and willingness to work flexible hours as needed. Valid drivers license preferred.
Physical Requirements
Lift and carry up to 80lbs. Walk long distances along ditches and rights of way. Bend, stoop, kneel, and work in vegetation or debris-filled areas. Operate equipment for extended periods.
Work Schedule
Seasonal position schedule may vary based on weather and operational needs. Typical work hours: Monday-Friday, 7:30 am to 3:00 pm, with possible overtime.
Supervision Reports directly to the Stormwater Supervisors.
