About the Role
We’re looking for a skilled and reliable Small Engine Service Technician to join our team. If you enjoy hands‑on mechanical work, solving problems, and helping customers keep their equipment running at its best, this is a great fit. You’ll work on a wide range of equipment—from lawn mowers and snow blowers to chainsaws, generators, and other small‑engine tools.

What You’ll Do

  • Diagnose and repair small engines, including 2‑stroke and 4‑stroke models
  • Perform routine maintenance: oil changes, tune‑ups, blade sharpening, belt replacement, carburetor cleaning
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and fuel‑system issues
  • Rebuild or replace engines when needed
  • Test equipment before and after repairs to ensure proper performance
  • Communicate clearly with customers about repair needs, timelines, and costs
  • Maintain accurate service records and parts usage
  • Keep the shop clean, safe, and organized
What We’re Looking For

  • Mechanical experience with small engines or similar equipment
  • Ability to read service manuals and follow diagnostic procedures
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
  • Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
  • Good communication and customer‑service mindset
  • Ability to lift and move equipment as needed
Bonus Skills (Not Required)

  • Certifications from Briggs & Stratton, Kohler, Honda, Stihl, or similar
  • Previous experience in a repair shop or dealership
  • Basic computer skills for logging repairs and ordering parts
Why You’ll Love Working Here

  • Steady, year‑round work with seasonal variety
  • Supportive team environment
  • Opportunities to improve your technical skills
  • A role where your expertise directly helps customers and the community
How to Apply

Submit your resume or a summary of your experience to our hiring team. We’re excited to meet someone who takes pride in quality workmanship and enjoys solving mechanical challenges.
