Description Responsible for the daily operation of assigned pool. Work is performed under immediate supervision with exercise of judgment in accordance with established policies, procedures and techniques. This is a temporary seasonal summer position.*Preference given for applicants available for entire summer season. Work hours to include nights, weekends and holidays as needed for program operation.

Examples of Duties • Oversees pool staff at assigned location, including assigning daily tasks and monitoring employee daily check-in and check-out. • Opens and closes the facilities, including turning on audio equipment. • Assists in selection, training, and scheduling of all pool personnel. • Leads the team in the event of an emergency. • Completes and submits incident reports as needed, reports problems and exercises diligence and prudence in maintaining maximum safety for all patrons and staff. • Develops and conducts in-service training programs for staff and assists in establishing emergency operation procedures. • Forwards all grievances of staff as well as grievances and/or compliants involving pool patrons to the Aquatics Admin Team. • Provides required records and reports, as well as tabulate all daily receipts. • Keeps daily inventory of all emergency equipment, office or cleaning supplies, and concessions and report to supervisor any items needed for daily operation. • Assists with verifying the petty cash issued each day for pool operation & daily revenues. • Ensures staff submit hours worked daily in ESS and approve timesheet by established deadlines. • Performs other job-related tasks as required.
Experience and Training Must be 18 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent. Minimum 2 years of lifeguard experience. Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
Certificates and Licenses Required: • Current certification in American Red Cross Lifeguard Training, First Aid and CPR - Will consider other agencies certifications case by case bases. • Must possess a valid Texas drivers license. • Preferred American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor Certification. • Preferred American Red Water Safety Instructor Certification.
