Position Objective
To assist with maintenance activities on the Countys highway system. This position is responsible for installing and repairing traffic signs on County roads, bridges and other facilities.

Minimum Qualifications
In order to be considered for this position, applicants must possess the following:
Must be at least 18 years of age as of hire date (beginning of season) Possess a valid Minnesota drivers license
Preferred Experience Beyond Minimum Qualifications:
Experience in the operation of road and maintenance equipment Experience performing routine preventative maintenance on various types of motor vehicles/equipment

Work Environment and Physical Demands
The primary responsibilities for this position will be performed approximately 100% of the time outdoors. May involve exposure to poison ivy and other noxious weeds. Exposure to heat and inclement weather. Some potential for accidents and some exposure to multiple recognized health hazards. Medium physical requirements. Ability to lift 75 pounds occasionally.
All employees are required to reside within the state of Minnesota.
Extent of Supervision or Guidance Provided
Works is performed under the general supervision of the Operations Supervisor.
Responsibility for Public Contact
Minimal.
Hours of Work
This position has a normal work schedule of 6:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday.
