Job Description

Under general supervision, the Hoop2nite+ Site Leader and Activities Coordinator assist with the planning, coordination, and supervision of teen sports and recreation game activities for the City of Jacksonville Parks and Recreation Department. This position supports structured sports play, recreational play, and daily program operations while maintaining a safe and positive environment for participants.

Training Dates: June 3 and 4, 2025 (5pm-9pm)

Program Start Date: Monday, June 1, 2026

Program End Date: Saturday, August 1, 2026

Hoop2Nite Site Leaders - $17 hourly

Hoop2Nite Activities Coordinator - $15 hourly

Examples of Work

• Assist in organizing and leading sports and recreation activities including basketball and other recreational games • Supervise participants during sports and recreation activities, and transitions • Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and positive behavior • Ensure safety procedures and department policies are followed at all times • Assist with setup, breakdown, and general program operations • Communicate effectively with supervisors, staff, participants, and parents as needed
