Seasonal General Labor - City Service Department
We are looking for dependable candidates with landscaping, janitorial, or maintenance experience to join the City of Fairlawn Service Department. This seasonal role offers a great opportunity to contribute to city projects while working outdoors.

Hours
Monday Friday, 7:00am 3:00pm with a 1-hour unpaid lunch (Approximately 35 hours/week)
Pay
$17.00/hour
Key Responsibilities
Manual labor for street repair, grounds maintenance, and building upkeep
Use of handheld equipment such as shovels, rakes, brooms, weed eaters, blowers, mowers, etc.
General lifting and physical activity throughout the day
Outdoor work in various weather conditions
Exercising safety and caution when working near roads and parks
Minimum Requirements
Prior landscaping experience
Previous building maintenance experience preferred
Ability to pass a 5-panel drug test
Capable of standing, walking, bending, and performing physical tasks for extended periods
Nice to Have Skills
Basic knowledge of equipment operation
Previous experience working outdoors in municipal settings
Preferred Education and Experience
Experience in landscaping, janitorial work, or maintenance roles
Other Requirements
All work performed on-site under strict supervision of City of Fairlawn personnel
Use of time clock for hours worked
Neat and clean clothing; no halter tops, torn clothing, shorts, or suggestive attire
Safety glasses, vests, gloves, and ear plugs provided and to be worn as instructed
