Overview:

The Seasonal Administrative Director is responsible for overseeing all administrative operations of camp and front-facing customer service functions. This role ensures efficient and accurate execution of camp logistics while supporting the Camp Director in daily operations and staff supervision. The Seasonal Administrative Director is a safety sensitive position.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all camp administrative systems
  • Manage and maintain camper and staff data (e.g., Bunk1, CampBrain)
  • Assist with parent communication regarding schedules, forms, policies, and general inquiries
  • Ensure all camper documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant prior to and during camp sessions
  • Assist with supervision of administrative staff and support team
  • Assist with communication platforms including email correspondence, blog updates, and photo uploads as needed
  • Collaborate with Parent Liaison, Mental Health Director, Nurse, Senior Nurse and Camper Care team as needed
  • Support Trading Post operations including inventory tracking and point-of-sale systems
  • Assist Camp Director with scheduling, reporting, and daily operational logistics
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive camper and staff information
  • Assist with nightly patrol as assigned
  • Attend and participate in Administration Staff Training and All Staff Training
Qualifications:
  • Leadership skills to assist in daily camp operation required.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Have knowledge in the daily operation of camp programs, including staff and camper supervision.
  • Knowledge in safety, care of equipment and supplies, inventory, skill instructions and progressive age appropriate programming is required.
  • The ability to teach songs, crafts, games, stories, sports, and related skills is preferred.
  • Must show enthusiasm, dedication, responsibility and maturity and have the ability to interact and communicate clearly with campers, parents and staff.
  • Bachelors of the Arts of Bachelors of Science in Recreation, Physical Education, Education or related field is preferred (or working toward degree).

 

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Ability to walk, stand, sit, kneel & bend (including on the floor) for long periods of time.
  • Exposure to communicable diseases and bodily fluids.
  • Must be able to lift and/or assist children up to 50 pounds in weight.
  • Must be able to lift and carry food and supplies weighing up to 20 pounds.
  • Visual and auditory ability to respond to critical situations and physical ability to act swiftly in an emergency
