Overview:

Oversee departmental performance and solve day to day operational issues, while promoting a positive work environment. Monitor lease and maintenance partners performance and address issues as they arise.

Responsibilities:

1. Maximize the development of internal talent through regular performance coaching, performance reviews and presenting developmental opportunities.
2. Align area objectives with the strategic goals of the department.
3. Create and maintain relationships with outside vendors to spec new equipment based on future needs of the department while identifying financial impact.
4. Monitor invoices from lease partners and maintenance providers to ensure accuracy.
5. Obtain driver feedback and input through daily interactions. Maintain open communication and adequate follow up with internal and external customers to ensure timely resolution to issues
6. Ensure drivers are following all company policies and procedures, as well as comply with all safety standards, safe driving practices, and all Federal, State, and Local transportation regulations.
7. Work with CLI Safety to report accidents and assist with investigation.
8. Communicate daily production needs with SDS Equipment / Yard Supervisor. Staff according to production demands, weather situations and special events or other needs of the company.
9. Work with maintenance provider daily to ensure that equipment is properly maintained according to determined guidelines. Identify equipment that is out of service and communicate any issues to the Director of Transportation.
10. Manage the process with Marketing and Brand Departments for equipment and product needs for store openings and all other special events.

Qualifications:

(Equivalent combinations of education, licenses, certifications and/or experience may be considered)


Education

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Technical / Trade / Sheetz training preferred

 

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years related logistics experience required
• Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience required

 

Licenses/Certifications
• Valid Driver’s License required. CDL preferred.
