MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead, train, and coach the organization in Business Agility including its Scrum adoption.
Accountable for establishing Scrum as defined in the Scrum Guide, by helping everyone understand Scrum theory and practice.
Accountable for the Scrum Team’s effectiveness, through enabling the team to improve its practices within the Scrum framework.
Coach team members in self-organization and cross-functionality.
Coach other scrum masters on improving agile practices.
Help the team focus on creating high-value increments that meet the Definition of Done.
Help remove impediments to the team’s progress.
Ensure that all Scrum events take place and are positive, productive, and kept within the timebox.
Help employees and stakeholders understand and enact an empirical approach for complex work.
Remove barriers between stakeholders and Scrum Teams.
Help the Product Owner find techniques for effective Product Goal definition and Product Backlog management.
Help the Product Owner establish empirical product planning for a complex environment.
Foster an environment for high-performing team dynamics, continuous flow, and relentless improvement.
Responsible for scaling scrum practices across teams and synchronizing work.
Ability to advise leadership on shaping agile strategy. This involves advising on resolving impediments at the organizational level
Create and advise on strategy for organization level metrics and reporting to surface bottlenecks and track improvements
Ensure work being done by teams support larger business objectives including those that span cross functional boundaries
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree
Certification / Licensure:
None required.
Work Experience:
At least 5 years of direct work experience in a full-time Scrum Master role.
At least 8 years of experience delivering features on a product/software team
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Strong knowledge of agile & scrum values and principles
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including verbal, written, synchronous, and asynchronous
Ability to lead and facilitate others in stressful or uncomfortable situations
Facilitation skills for teams and larger group events & workshops to reach intended outcomes
Agile Lifecycle Management (ALM) tool (e.g. Jira) configuration expertise
Configuration or local admin skills in team virtual collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams/Zoom, Confluence (wiki), and tool such as Miro/Mural
Ability to learn, understand, and apply new technologies.
PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Certification / Licensure:
Scrum Master Certification such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), SAFe Scrum Master/Advanced Scrum Master (SSM/SASM)
Work Experience:
At least 5 years of experience in fulltime Scrum Master role (i.e. not shared role/partial allocation) with increasing responsibility from Scrum Master to Chief (Senior) Scrum Master, etc. and focusing on the organization and enterprise level
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
Agile Scaling expertise and implementation experience (e.g. SAFe, LeSS, Scrum@Scale)
Coach certification e.g. SAFe SPC, Scrum Alliance Certified Team/Enterprise Coach (CTC/CEC), ICAgile
Product delivery experience
ALM tool certification such as Jira Admin, Jira Managing Cloud Projects

The anticipated salary range for this position:
$116,000.00 - $174,000.00 AnnualThe actual salary will vary based on applicant’s location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. This role is bonus and/or incentive eligible. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
