Scrum Master (Agile Delivery)

Locations: Charlotte, NC or Des Moines, IA

Duration: Contract (Potential for Conversion)

Max Pay Rate: $62/hr

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master to lead Agile teams in delivering high-quality solutions while fostering continuous improvement and Agile best practices. This role will partner closely with Product Owners, Engineering teams, and stakeholders to facilitate Agile ceremonies, remove impediments, and drive predictable delivery outcomes.

The ideal candidate is an experienced servant leader with strong facilitation, coaching, and communication skills who can guide Agile teams through complex initiatives in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.

  • Coach Agile teams, Product Owners, and stakeholders on Scrum principles and Agile best practices.

  • Remove impediments and proactively manage risks and cross-team dependencies.

  • Drive continuous improvement using Agile metrics, retrospectives, and coaching plans.

  • Partner with Product and Engineering teams to improve team maturity and delivery effectiveness.

  • Monitor sprint progress, backlog health, and delivery commitments.

  • Create and maintain JIRA dashboards, reports, and workflow automation.

  • Promote collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning across Agile teams.

  • Ensure user stories meet Definition of Ready (DoR) and Definition of Done (DoD).

Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years of Scrum Master or Agile experience.

  • Experience facilitating Agile ceremonies.

  • Strong communication, coaching, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Experience using JIRA for Agile planning and reporting.

  • Ability to identify risks, resolve impediments, and improve Agile team performance.

  • Strong understanding of Scrum and Agile methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience coaching multiple Agile teams.

  • Experience in enterprise Agile environments.

  • Agile certifications (CSM, PSM, SAFe, or equivalent).

  • Training or experience in coaching, facilitation, or organizational change.
