DESCRIPTION:

Join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Data Scientist III and contribute to global healthcare and scientific innovation. You''ll apply advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI techniques to solve complex business challenges across our enterprise. REQUIREMENTS:

  • Advanced Degree plus 3 years of experience, or Bachelor''s Degree plus 5 years of experience in data science and machine learning
  • Preferred Fields of Study: Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related quantitative field
  • Advanced proficiency in Python, R, and SQL for data analysis and modeling
  • Expertise in machine learning frameworks including scikit-learn, TensorFlow, and PyTorch
  • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and big data technologies (Spark, Databricks)
  • Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) and dashboard development
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis, experimental design, and hypothesis testing
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex business problems into analytical solutions
  • Experience with ETL processes and data pipeline development
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and version control systems (Git)
  • Strong communication skills for presenting technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Experience with natural language processing (NLP) and deep learning preferred
  • Domain knowledge in life sciences, healthcare, or clinical research valued
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent project management and organizational abilities
  • Willingness to stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends
