Join our cutting-edge research team as a vital member of our Viral Vector Core. In this role, you will drive the production, analytics, and development of next-generation viral vectors. This is an exciting opportunity for a collaborative, detail-oriented researcher to support our gene therapy pipeline, contribute to innovative therapeutic modalities and facilitate our research community in applying viral vectors as powerful research tools.
Key Responsibilities
Core Viral Production & Analytics: Deliver high-quality viral vector core services, including the end-to-end production of lentiviral libraries and Adeno-associated virus (AAV), as well as robust downstream viral vector analytics.
Data & Inventory Management: Maintain a meticulously organized virus inventory and registry utilizing our digital informatics platforms to ensure data integrity and traceability.
Next-Gen Modality Engineering: Assist with the engineering, production, and technology development of novel viral vectors and emerging viral-based modalities.
Application of Viral Vector and CRISPR technologies: Actively participate in the advanced in vitro and in vivo genome engineering using CRISPR/Cas9 systems.
Skills
- Proficient in mammalian cell culture and general molecular biology techniques such as transient plasmid transfection, PCR, qPCR, ddPCR, dPCR and Western blot.
- Working experiences with lentivirus or AAV production and application, CRISPR technology for genome editing are highly desirable.
- Experience with flow cytometer operations, electronic notebook and proficiency in data analysis and computational programming are also strong plus.
- Must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, analytical, highly organized, and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Education
MS or PhD degree in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Virology, Biochemistry, Bioengineering, Genetics, or a related discipline with 3+ years of laboratory research experience.
Years of experience: 5 to 10 years
