Requirements: Valid NJ Instructional Certificate (Earth, Physical or Biological Science or Subject Matter Specialization Science Grades 5-8) Ability to conduct/facilitate laboratory investigations Knowledge/Experience with modeling and inquiry-based science instruction Knowledge/Experience with OpenSciEd (a plus) Knowledge of the scope and sequence of NJ Student Learning Standards (ie: Next Generation Science Standards) Knowledge of state assessment test specifications for science (ie: NJSLA) Ability to integrate technology effectively to enhance instruction Knowledge of Charlotte Danielson's Framework for Teaching a plus Knowledge of best practices in middle level education Willingness to collaborate with fellow department members Bilingual (a plus)
Effective: 2026-2027 School Year Salary: As per salary guide based on experience and earned degree level Minimum $67,968 - maximum $99,181 Benefits: In addition to the base salary, eligible employees receive a comprehensive benefits package: including medical/vision, prescription and dental insurance, and paid time off.
