Granite Academyâ¯is a dynamic day school for middle and high school-aged students who have emotional and mental health needs that complicate schooling, social interactions, and family life. Our staff provide flexible, individualized programming and are dedicated to meeting the needs of our students, their caregivers, and the public school systems.
We have an 11- month school year (202 days) and are located on a beautiful campus inâ¯Braintree, MA. Our team works with students individually and in small groups to support their full engagement in academic, vocational, social, and recreational activities that promote skill development, emotional well-being, and movement towards graduation.
This job assignment requires utilization of our innovative Attachment, Regulation and Competency (ARC), a trauma informed response framework and adherence to maintaining our unique structure within the classroom setting. An appreciation for working with diverse populations and believing in high expectations is essential. Granite Academy is seeking a passionate History/Math teacher who is committed to delivering curriculum in adherence to the MA Curriculum Frameworks.
The position involves curriculum planning and delivery, technology integration, assessment, and all other tasks identified by the director of education. Supervision is provided to support teacher development. The candidate must possess the ability to carry out Granite Academy’s mission and purpose of collaboration to support life-long learners in achieving their independence and self-sufficiency.
Compensation
The pay range for this position is $52,000 to $94,000 per year. The listed range reflects what we reasonably and in good faith expect to pay for this role at the time of posting the position. The actual compensation an employee is offered may vary based on several factors such as experience, education, licensure, certifications and qualifications. This range may be modified in the future.
