School Social Worker – Special Education (In-Person)
Location: Elizabeth, CO 80107
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Contract Duration: 25 Weeks
Compensation: $2,000–$2,300 per week


About the Role

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Social Worker to support students within a Special Education setting in Elizabeth, Colorado. This fully onsite role focuses on enhancing students’ academic, emotional, and social well-being while fostering a safe and inclusive learning environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide individual and group counseling services to students receiving special education support
  • Assist students in managing behavioral, emotional, and social challenges that impact learning
  • Collaborate with teachers, school staff, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to develop effective student support plans
  • Conduct student assessments, evaluations, and social history reports as required
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development and implementation of individualized education plans
  • Maintain accurate documentation, case notes, and progress reports in compliance with school and state guidelines
  • Connect students and families with appropriate community resources and support services
  • Promote a safe, positive, and inclusive school environment for all students

Qualifications

  • Valid Colorado School Social Worker License (required at time of interview)
  • Minimum 1 year of school-based social work experience
  • Strong knowledge of Special Education processes and IEP procedures
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively with students, families, educators, and support staff
  • Must be able to work fully onsite (no remote or hybrid option)
