QUALIFICATIONS:
- School Social Work Licensure/Temporary or Full School Approval for School Social Worker
- Experience in a school environment
- Experience in a center based program preferred
- Experience working with students with Emotional Impairments preferred
- Prefer PBIS, CPI and Crisis Intervention training and experience
- Experience in working within the MTSS framework
- Team work, team building, and mediation skills and ability to work independently

DUTIES:
- Provide in-classroom behavioral support, coaching, training and strategies for meeting the needs of students
- Conduct special education evaluations: IEP's; MDRs; and provide school social work services as necessary
- Conduct Functional Behavioral Assessments and write Positive Behavior Intervention Plans
- Facilitate wraparound meetings and behavior review meetings
- Address behavior by providing behavioral interventions and problem solving strategies
- Intervene in crisis situations
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary staff, parents, and administrators
- Document and collect data for behavior interventions and services provided
- Determine appropriate behavior treatment plans through documented evaluations and consultations
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to plan and implement classroom based activities and behavior strategies/interventions
- Implement trauma-informed/resiliency based strategies & interventions
- Implement building wide PBIS
- Participate in student success team meetings
- Maintain compliance with special education timelines, required paperwork and documentation
- Meet the needs of all students effectively by working in partnership with other disciplines
- Comply with policies established by federal and state law, State Board of Education rules, and school policy
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of research, theories, and practices associated with therapy in the school-based setting
