Cross Country Education is seeking a School Services School Visual Impairments Teacher for a local contract job in Bel Air, Maryland.
Ready to use your expertise to help students with visual impairments thrive? Cross Country Education is seeking a dedicated Teacher of the Visually Impaired to support K–12 students in Bel Air, MD, during the 2026–2027 school year.
Position Overview:
Provide itinerant TVI services and consultation to students with visual impairments across K–12 campuses.
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and deliver direct instruction in Braille, screen readers, low vision aids, and compensatory skills.
Collaborate with educators and support staff to develop accommodations and ensure students have access to the curriculum.
Coordinate with school teams to manage caseload needs, including scheduling, progress updates, and accurate documentation.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Visual Impairments, or Special Education
Active Maryland Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) Certification
Prior experience providing direct and consultative services in a school-based or pediatric setting
Braille proficiency strongly preferred
