Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Make a meaningful impact supporting students in the Washington DC area as a school psychologist for the upcoming academic year! You'll be serving two campuses, contributing your expertise to assessment, consultation, and behavioral support initiatives in vibrant school communities located just 45 minutes south of DC. This is a full-time contract position, running from August 11, 2026, through May 26, 2027, with consistent hours from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

In this role, you’ll have the vital responsibility of working primarily on assessments and consultations, providing FBA/BIP support, and occasionally assisting with MTSS. Academic achievement testing won't be necessary, as each building is staffed with Educational Diagnosticians. Your collaboration may also extend to offering counseling support alongside social workers, though this is infrequent.

Qualifications:

  • Current VA Department of Education Certification (School Psychologist)
  • Active Virginia Psychology License
  • Willingness and ability to complete a VA Department of Social Services background check immediately upon offer
  • VA TB Test clearance prior to start date
  • Prior experience in school psychology, particularly with assessment and consultation
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological assessments and consultations for a diverse student population
  • Collaborate in FBA/BIP planning and implementation
  • Provide expert guidance to educational teams on behavioral interventions
  • Occasionally support social workers in counseling initiatives
  • Engage with MTSS teams as needed to foster student success

This on-site opportunity allows you to directly support school communities and make a difference in students’ lives every day. If you’re passionate about advancing student well-being and development in an engaging, collaborative environment, your skills are in high demand. Submit your application today and take the next step in your school psychology career!
