Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Make a real difference in student success by providing essential psychological services in a collaborative school environment near Dumfries, VA. This full-time contract opportunity runs from August 11, 2026, through May 26, 2027, with hours from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday. The position supports two school locations, allowing you to focus on assessments, consultations, and behavioral interventions alongside a committed multidisciplinary team. No remote or hybrid options are available; your expertise and presence on campus are valued.

Required Qualifications:

  • Active Virginia Department of Education Certificate
  • Valid Virginia Psychology Licensure
  • Experience with Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA), Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP), and Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS)
  • Ability to work primarily with assessment and consultation, supporting students across various age groups
  • Comfortable collaborating with social workers and other staff when needed
  • Must be able to begin the VA Dept. of Social Services check immediately and complete a TB test as part of time-sensitive credentialing

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform psychoeducational assessments and offer consultative support for students and staff
  • Participate in FBA/BIP development and implementation
  • Provide occasional support for counseling initiatives alongside school social workers
  • Contribute to MTSS and other evidence-based intervention programs
  • Foster positive relationships across faculty, students, and families
  • Maintain meticulous documentation per regulatory guidelines
