SUMMARY
The School Psychologist enables students to derive maximum educational benefit from school by supporting their social-emotional development, promoting positive self-concept, and addressing educational and psychological needs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to read and interpret educational journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations; write reports, correspondence, and procedural documents; and present information effectively to parents, staff, students, and community members. They must be able to calculate mathematical concepts such as proportions, percentages, and basic algebra and geometry. Candidates must also be able to solve practical problems involving a variety of variables and interpret instructions presented in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This position may require standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, lifting up to 25 pounds, and moving throughout the school campus. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. WORK ENVIRONMENT
