Become part of the School of Education (SOE) team as a Student Assistant! This position is ideal for a student who is friendly, organized, and eager to gain professional office experience. Duties include assisting visitors, managing phone communications, and supporting daily administrative operations in a positive, team-focused workplace.
The ideal Student Assistant is organized, dependable, and eager to contribute to a professional office environment. This role requires strong clerical, technical, and communication skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and database applications.
Applicants should be comfortable performing administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, document preparation, and operating office equipment. Strong attention to detail, adaptability, and the ability to maintain confidentiality are essential for success in this position.
Minimum Qualifications:
To be eligible for student employment, an applicant must:
a. Be enrolled in the University of Alaska system with a minimum of six credit hours in the current semester of employment
or
b. Have been enrolled the preceding semester for six or more credit hours and demonstrate plans to enroll for six or more credit hours in the next semester for employment between semesters
and
c. Have at least a 2.0 cumulative grade point average (GPA) or approval from the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs or their designee.

This position is located on the University of Alaska Anchorage campus in Anchorage, Alaska.
This position is open to undergraduate students only.
