Summary:

This role is ideal for a licensed Occupational Therapist passionate about helping students maximize their functional independence and educational success. As an Occupational Therapist, you will evaluate, develop, and implement individualized therapy services that support students’ academic, sensory, motor, adaptive, and social-emotional development. Working closely with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams, you will play a critical role in supporting students through direct services, evaluations, and participation in the IEP process.

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide direct occupational therapy services aligned with students’ IEPs and 504 plans.
  • Conduct assessments, analyze results, and prepare comprehensive evaluation reports.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans focused on educational and functional outcomes.
  • Participate in IEP meetings, team conferences, and collaborative problem-solving discussions.
  • Support teachers and staff in identifying and addressing sensory, motor, adaptive, and developmental needs.
  • Integrate therapeutic interventions into classroom environments when appropriate.
  • Collaborate with parents, educators, and outside agencies to coordinate student services.
  • Maintain compliance with state, federal, and school-based special education requirements.

Experience You’ll Need:

  • Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Valid Arizona Department of Education Occupational Therapy Certificate.
  • Current NBCOT Certification.
  • Arizona DPS IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
  • Knowledge of occupational therapy principles, evidence-based interventions, and educational service delivery.
  • Experience conducting evaluations, writing reports, and participating in IEP processes.
  • Knowledge of sensory integration theory and practices preferred.
  • Spanish bilingual skills highly preferred.
