Salary: $45.00 USD Hourly - $48.00 USD Hourly
Description: We are seeking an Occupational Therapist for the 2026-2027 school year to perform student evaluations and treatments. The ideal candidate will develop and implement individualized plans of care while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality care and comprehensive rehabilitation services. Additionally, this role involves providing supervision and direction to Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) and rehabilitation aides in accordance with all state, federal, and professional regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough student evaluations as ordered under the direction of a physician.
• Create and implement tailored plans of care designed to meet the goals of the student and their family.
• Utilize selected occupational therapy procedures, including physical agents, therapeutic exercise, and ADL functional training, to maximize students' quality of life and independence.
• Coordinate with team members, physicians, and school staff to ensure comprehensive medical and educational support, monitoring for any contraindications to treatment.
• Complete detailed, timely documentation of all services, compliance records, and billing requirements in alignment with facility policies and payor sources.
• Participate in discharge planning, including family meetings, home evaluations, and family or student education and training.
•  Provide clear direction and supervision to occupational therapy assistants and rehab aides under the rules and regulations of the State Practice Acts.
• Help ensure that all physical surroundings and therapy equipment are sanitary, orderly, and free from safety hazards.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Graduation from an AOTA-accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Current, active Occupational Therapist license in the state of practice.
• Current NBCOT certification.
