    The School Nutrition Technology Supervisor is a vital and supportive member of the PCSD team, working collaboratively with educators, support staff, and administration to achieve the shared goal of ensuring all students receive the education they need to succeed both today and tomorrow. This role is performed within a school and office environment, overseen by Director of School Nurtrition, where teamwork and dedication to student success are paramount.

    All staff are expected to fully adhere to the ethical standards set forth by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission, continuously demonstrating a strong understanding of the tasks and responsibilities their roles require. Moreover, they must embody the core belief that every action we take is driven by a commitment to the best interests of our students.

    Position Title: School Nutrition Program Technology Supervisor

    Work Schedule: Annual/ 8 hours per day

    Grade/Level: I-3

    FLSA: Exempt

    Primary Function: Ability to install, diagnose and repair computer hardware, software, and peripheral equipment at District SNP sites. Working knowledge of windows and computer operating systems. Basic understanding of networking protocols, hardware, and technology. Ability to install computers, printers, and other peripheral devices.

    Qualifications:

    Minimum of high school graduate/GED with college education preferred, including coursework in computer science. Microsoft certifications preferred. On-going training/professional standards requirements. Holds a current Georgia drivers license and has reliable transportation.

    Demonstrated knowledge of technology

    Demonstrated skills in computer maintenance and network operations in technology planning, maintenance, and operations

    Experience and coursework in installation, configuration, troubleshooting and repair of computer hardware, software, and peripheral devices preferably in a networked environment. Previous experience in School Nutrition management preferred.

    The Board of Education and the Superintendent may accept alternatives to some of the above requirements.

    Essential Functions:

    1.

    Operate and maintain a variety of equipment including computers, printers, network servers and other networking equipment

    2.

    Research and review new and updated hardware, software, and requirements

    3.

    Respond to hardware and software service requests

    4.

    Install software on new PC''s

    5.

    Install hardware on new PC''s

    6.

    Install Point of Sale and Input Devices configuring networking solutions between server and device.

    7.

    Troubleshoot computer and printer problems

    8.

    Perform preventative maintenance on hardware and software

    9.

    Assists with re-imaging CPU's and provides support for external peripheral devices

    10.

    Assist in providing technical assistance on troubleshooting hardware, software, networking, operational problems, and other peripheral devices

    11.

    Assist with maintaining technology hardware and software inventories and documentation

    12.

    Maintain Technology Lab for training of employees

    13.

    Configure Nutrition lab web server, manage user accounts, install, and manage server application

    14.

    Participate in training of all Nutrition managers, cashiers and staff members requiring knowledge in technology to perform their job responsibilities

    15.

    Coordinate with software vendor to obtain the latest information technology for School Nutrition software program.

    16.

    Coordinate work with Technology Department regarding computer images and upgrades

    17.

    Coordinate work with Technology Department and seek guidance as needed regarding district changes. Attend District Technology meetings.

    18.

    Monitor cafeteria cooler/freezer temps and Control Systems Software reporting issues as necessary. Coordinate work with service company regarding Control Systems or controller issues at school locations. Reset switches at school locations for cooler/freezer controller operations as necessary.

    19.

    Monitor on-line payment system operations reporting/resolving issues as necessary and maintain district bulletin board for parents. Update student data via the on-line payment system Web Site. Assist parents and staff to resolve issues.

    20.

    Updates district Nutrition Web Site as necessary with department information. Communicate with Technology department to maintain accuracy of information on website

    21.

    Configure web server, manage user accounts, install, and manage server application. Perform Webserver/Server patches and upgrades

    22.

    Monitor data transfer file with Central Registration regarding Student Data

    23.

    Performs daily back up of Nutrition Data to ensure integrity and loss prevention

    24.

    Serves as Records Coordinator for Nutrition Department maintaining records inventory and preparation for records destruction at schools and central office

    25.

    Manipulates Directly Certified Student Data to import into Nutrition Software

    26.

    Coordinate with Warehouse to send obsolete equipment to storage and/or disposal

    27.

    Meets USDA''s Professional Standards training requirements. Participates in and attends all assigned in-service/training programs annually.

    Ensures adherence to good safety procedures

    Adheres to legal statutes, organizational rules and community standards
