Position: School Nutrition Services Driver Location: Chelmsford High School Reports To: Director of School Nutrition

General Description: The position of School Nutrition Services Driver works with the School Nutrition Director and staff on loading of delivery vehicles and delivering meals to various school sites. The position requires that ability to prioritize work as necessary under fast paced conditions.

• Ability to drive van or truck for deliveries.
• Maintains a positive and helpful working relationship with all fellow employees and others he/she comes in to contact with on the job.
• Ability to work collaboratively and harmoniously with co-workers, school site staff and the public.
• Assists in the packaging of meals.
• Assists in the loading and unloading of transport vehicles.
• Possesses significant physical abilities including lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling.
• Maintains delivery routes in a transportation vehicle in a timely, safe manner.
• Ability to meet times schedules and perform work efficiently under fast paced conditions.
• Checks that items transported are accurately accounted for when delivered.
• Must be cognizant of vehicle function and operation. Reports any malfunction or defects or needed service to the Director of School Nutrition.
• Ability to understand and carry out written and oral instructions.
• Work independently and have good organizational skills.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by the Director of School Nutrition in accordance with the district''s policies and practices.

Terms of Employment: 3.75 Hours Per Day/ 183 Days Per Year (Non-Affiliated Position) Hours: 9:00am- 12:45pm School Year: August through June Salary Range: $18.90- $19.50 per hour Evaluation: Performance of this position will be evaluated annually in writing by the Director of School Nutrition
