Job Qualifications and Requirements:
Education: A high school diploma or GED is required.
Certifications: Must possess or be willing to obtain a ServSafe Manager Certificate within 90 days of employment (paid for by the West Bridgewater Nutrition Department)
Experience: Individuals with at least 1 year of experience in school nutrition or commercial kitchen or warehouse operations will be given a preference.
Driver's License: A valid, clean standard driver's license is mandatory.
Must have good verbal and written communication skills
Summary: The School Nutrition Inventory Specialist/Delivery Driver works closely with the Food Service Director and Kitchen Manager to coordinate the procurement, receiving and distribution of food and supplies to ensure that all the District's school cafeterias are consistently stocked with the ingredients and supplies that they need to operate the National
School Lunch and Breakfast programs. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Work with program staff to plan deliveries for food and non-food supplies based on planned menus.
Receive and put away deliveries at the High School, inspecting for quality, quantity accuracy, and correct invoice pricing.
Coordinate with School Nutrition staff at the Elementary Schools the daily delivery of food and ingredients to and from school sites using the Food Service van. Load, deliver and put away items to multiple school kitchens within a specified timeline.
Manage stock rotation using First-In, First-Out (FIFO) protocols in all storage areas including walk-in freezer.
Track and record the daily movement of products in and out of all storage areas at the Middle/Senior High School. Conduct monthly inventories.
Maintains required daily cold storage temperature logs.
Complies with safety and sanitation standards for Child Nutrition food service operations in compliance with local, state and federal regulations.
