The Waupun Area School District (WASD) is looking for a full-time LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) or CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) under the direction of the Head School Nurse/RN to serve within our buildings for the 2026-27 school year. The hours for the position are Monday-Friday 7:30-2:30, when school is in session. Additional days are required in the summer to prepare for the start of the school year, as scheduled by the Head School Nurse/RN.

The Waupun Area School District is a 4K-12 school district serving a population of 1900 students in South Central Wisconsin. Located conveniently on Hwy 151, Waupun is only 45 minutes north of Madison and 20 minutes south of Fond du Lac. WASD is home to four schools, including a charter school in Fox Lake.

The Nurse/CMA in this position is responsible for the healthcare needs of all students during the school day. The Nurse/CMA will also be responsible for gathering health information and following health care plans.

Other expectations include, but are not limited to:

  • Administration of student medications during the school day
  • Help establish and implement individualized care plans for students
  • Provide emergency medical services to students/staff as needed
  • Responsible for all health screenings in WASD
  • Health assessments within the scope of practice
  • Complete other duties as assigned

Candidate must hold a valid Wisconsin LPN or CMA license to be considered for the position. They will also need to be CPR certified. A copy of your license must be uploaded through WECAN along with a Cover Letter, Letter of Recommendation, Transcripts, and Resume.
