Shift: 1st Shift | Monday Friday, 8 AM 4 PM

Are you a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse looking to make a difference in the lives of students? Join the Hastings school district as a School Nurse at the elementary level! You ll provide health support, monitor trends and serve as a vital resource for students, parents and staff.
Key Responsibilities
Provide health counseling and first aid for students
Develop and implement school health protocols
Coordinate with medical specialists and community resources
Monitor and administer medications, vaccinations and screenings (vision, hearing, blood pressure, height/weight, oral health)
Maintain student health records and prepare state-mandated reports
Conduct classroom teaching on health topics as requested
Respond to and manage communicable diseases and other health concerns
Advocate for student health and safety including child abuse documentation and follow-ups
Provide CPR and first aid training for school staff
Qualifications
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher
Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license
CPR instructional certification
Valid Nebraska driver s license
Previous school nursing experience preferred
Strong communication, organization and problem-solving skills
