Districtwide School Resource Nurse

Leominster Public Schools is looking for a part time school nurse (.4 FTE).

This is a grant funded position.

Position Description:

Primary function will be to assist the Nurse Manager with grant related activities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Assist in planning and conducting state mandated school screening programs and surveys
• Assist in documenting and submitting required state reports.
• Assist in the planning and implementing of quality improvement projects
• Being a resource for the school nurses
• May include substitute nursing
• Educates the school community in healthy practices, and acts as a health resource for school personnel, students and families
• Creates a climate of physical and mental health and well-being to minimize student absences due to illness

Qualificiations:

Current Massachusetts Nursing License - BSN required, MSN preferred

Three years nursing experience, preferably in a community, public health, or school setting

DESE School Nurse Licensure preferred

CPR and First Aid certification

Knowledge of Excel, Googlesheets, ASPEN, SNAP

Salary commensurate with related experience.

Bilingual candidates preferred. (Spanish and/or Portuguese)
