You will be part of a vibrant healthcare team, working closely with educators, administrators, and parents to manage health conditions and prevent disease. Job Details

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct nursing care to students and staff, including first aid, illness management, and medication administration.
  • Develop and implement individualized healthcare plans for students with chronic health conditions.
  • Conduct health screenings and assessments, including vision and hearing tests.
  • Promote health education and preventative health practices among students and staff.
  • Collaborate with school staff and parents to manage the health needs of students.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential student health records.
  • Respond to health emergencies and coordinate care with other healthcare providers as needed.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of school health policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
  • Nationally Certified School Nurse (NCSN) certification.
  • Certified Pediatric Nurse (CPN) certification.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, preferably in a school setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make critical decisions.
  • Knowledge of current health and safety laws and regulations.
  • Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
  • Ability to build relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Proficient in using healthcare technology and electronic health records.
  • Must pass a background check and drug test.
