EDU-AIDs is hiring a School Nurse (RN or Certified School Nurse) for a full-time K-12 school assignment in Broadview, IL.


As a School Nurse, you'll play an essential role in keeping students healthy, safe, and ready to learn. You'll provide direct nursing care, respond to medical needs, collaborate with educators and families, and help create a supportive learning environment where every student can thrive.

Qualifications


Required


  • Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license or Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Nurse endorsement

  • Strong clinical assessment, communication, and organizational skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively with students, families, teachers, and school staff

Responsibilities


  • Provide direct nursing care, first aid, and emergency medical support to students.

  • Assess student health needs and develop individualized healthcare plans.

  • Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and school policies.

  • Monitor students with chronic health conditions and specialized medical needs.

  • Maintain accurate, confidential student health records and documentation.

  • Respond promptly to student illnesses, injuries, and medical emergencies.

  • Collaborate with families, teachers, administrators, and healthcare providers to support student success.

  • Participate in IEP and multidisciplinary team meetings as appropriate.

  • Conduct health screenings and promote student wellness through health education.

  • Ensure compliance with Illinois nursing standards and school health regulations.
